Kids' Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Convention is an innovative and successful learning initiative designed for the benefit of Middle Phase students in Years 6 to 9. This ground-breaking initiative commenced in 2007 and is a successful annual event for Middle Phase students in State Primary and High Schools. The Convention targets students who seek out new challenges in their learning in the Science, Technology, and Engineering and Mathematics. Students set their own learning goals, desire to be independent in the learning context, question existing theories, and knowledge, and are confident to share their research findings. Participation in the Convention is open to Brookfield State School students in Years 5 and 6.
