Brookfield State School is proud of its Tuckshop, which offers quality and healthy food items including onsite made meals and home-made baked goods.
Tuckshop is run by convenor Susan Sansbury, and her wonderful team of volunteers. The service operates first break only on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday, first and second break on Wednesdays and Thursdays. In the event of a public holiday or pupil free day, no extra day will be scheduled.
Tuckshop is ordered using Flexischools, a popular online ordering system for Australian schools. To register visit Flexischools and click 'Register Now'. Once registered, you can start placing orders. The current tuckshop menu can be viewed on Flexischools. The system is user-friendly with options for including or excluding certain items to suit individual dietary requirements.
Tuckshop orders may be placed until 8.50am, school bell time, on the day of order. Each break students can also order frozen treats, drinks, snacks and home baking over the counter.
For parents of children with food allergies unfortunately we cannot guarantee our tuckshop is free from these items and you use this service at your own risk. Please contact Susan or the school office if you have any queries.
The success of tuckshop requires strong assistance from the school community, who volunteer their time on roster, prepare home baking or donate grocery items.
Susan aims to make the experience fun as an opportunity to make new friends and expand cooking skills. Volunteers can request to be placed in a group with other parents of students their child’s age or with friends. Volunteering in the tuckshop is for three hours from 8.30–11.30am, once per month. If you can stay until the end of second break, around 1.45pm, this would be appreciated. Children love seeing you at tuckshop and in their world.
To volunteer at the tuckshop or to donate home-baked goods or groceries please contact Susan by email at tuckshop@brookfieldss.eq.edu.au , mobile 0449 115 888 or leave your details at the school office.
All tuckshop profits are used by the P&C Association to improve services, equipment and facilities at our school.
